I really hope the club insists no more preseason derbies. These things seem to happen way more in these games. Three years ago we lost Hase for the season and it put him on the fast track to retirement.

Terrible news, if unfortunately true.

Just remember that it may look worse than it actually is.

Best of luck

He sure is an exciting player, and was looking forward to watching him during the year. Bad luck for the bloke!

This is just about the worst pre-season we've had so far. Definitely made worse by the fact that we were creulled by injuries at the back end of last year, with what has been our most exciting list.

Aweful news for mzungu, gutted.

Lets hope it is at worst a bad medial = 8 - 10 weeks

If ACL I'm sure at his age and the fact he needs to get back to playing ASAP for his AFL future that he would undergo LARS = approx. 12 - 13 weeks

Eitherway if it is as bad as they say at best the first half of his year is gone.

Mzungu was assisted off the ground by the trainers my mate said that a doctor was looking at his knee

Hopefully all the looking and so on is just precautionary, I was so excited to watch the bloke this season. Really hope it's not too bad.

Worst. Preseason. Ever.

He was one of the real shining lights I was looking forward to watching this season. Barlow last season and now Mz, our club is seriously cursed.

Terrible news for the bloke, pretty sure you guys are the only team which has had a worse run with ACL/knee injuries over the last few years.

We went through this last week with Brodie Martin and it only turned out to be a jarred knee. Here's hoping this is something similar.

Twitter update from Freo

"Tendai Mzungu injury update: following scans it appears to be his left medial ligament and some bone bruising #freoeagles"

Good news I guess.

Forgive my lack on medical knowledge but what does this mean? Does this mean he could be back in say 5 weeks? Or is this still fairly serious?
