N. Stevens $51 for Brownlow

Just wanted to know you guyz thoughts on the betting odds for Stevo for the Brownlow. I think at $51 its a pretty reasonable bet to put on seeing that I believe his second year will be so much better than this year (this is not saying he had a bad year this year).

Pretty good odds that. I was a bit amazed he only polled 7 (I think) votes this year after I thought he had a reasonable year. I reckon the best Betts would be Coughlan who is at $126. In 2003 he polled 16 votes and IMO should do well next year.

In his early days, I thought Stevens would become the next Buckley - he was that good as an 18 ear-old.

But over the years, he hasn't got anywhere near these lofty heights and I doubt if he ever will, thus putting the Brownlow beond reach.

Still, he's a very good player, though not likely to be remembered as a 'great' of the game. Then again, Woewodin won a Brownlow so anything is possible.

Remeber he is still 24 year old, Buckley didn't reach his nearest pick till aroun 1998 when he was about 26 years old.

I know its not right to compare Nick Stevens to Nathan Buckley, because I believe Buckley is a champion of the game and I he is only thing I could respect our of Collingwood.
