I saw that Naitanui was BOG yesterday at Casey Fields. Is he eligible? If not this year could we select him and sit on him for a year? He will be a cult hero when he starts playing and it wouldn't hurt to have a few thousand Islanders following us!

Naitanui is an interesting prospect but a 194cm ruckman with a leap. He got lucky to run up against no ruckmen over 199 and was able to jump over them. He is good around the ground but is still raw and the extra year in juniors will be good for him.

So was David Rodan. Won everything there was to win in the U18's.

Will be very interested to see him next year and to see if he can add another few centimetres to that very impressive frame.

His awkwardness suggests there may be a little bit of height yet to come.

He was flogging Kreuzer by more than a centimetre or two...if he eventually grows to 196-97, his leap will make him more than competitive with the 'giants.'

His kicking and ground movement were generally average, but a couple of tackles he laid where he literally pounced on opposition smalls were enough to offset concerns about his long term agility.
