Clearly we have major leadership problems at our club. Player we say have sublime skills, are quick are this and that yet strangely never stand up when needed. We have many scapegoats yet there are a few names we need to have a serious look at now to go anywhere in the next couple of years. In no particular order:
Ray
Boyd
Eagleton
Street
Walsh
Giansiracusa
Power
Addison
Akermanis
Baird
Hargrave
Mc Cormack
Mc Dougall
Mc Mahon
Minson
Wight
Skipper
Faulkner
Throw in Darcy and Robins retiring and West and Grant getting close to the end and you can see big question marks over a large portion of the list. These blokes in particular either have not delivered or fail under pressure. there is alot of talk about us doing a Geelong next year. For that to happen all of those not named will need to be at their best not only in form but in leadership, 2nd year players will will need to have a dramatic improvement and half of the above list needs to show some consistent form and leadership.
In essence we are a long way from Geelong and really are closer to Richmond and Carlton than many of the posters here would care to admit.
