I want to buy you a beer! Better buy you a slab.

Benno... I stand along side you and demand that Nathan Eagleton be held accountable for his ineptness. Did anyone see Footy confidential last night when they showed our last quarter capitulation out of the centre? There he was in all his glory, Eagle, being brushed aside like autumn leaves in the breeze and jogging out to open space waiting for the easy run into the 50 where he can kick the ball unopposed and lead everybody to believe he is actually a vital cog to our side.

I have been an Eagle basher from day one. I have said we will never win anything while he is in the team.....again I am right!

Split pea comes to mind when discussing the courage level of certain players.

Outside, down hill skier.

There are worse players on the list than Eagleton.
He is too old to be traded for anything valuable. He won't be delisted so you guys best support him as a bulldog player.

Dogupya for once I agree with the majority of your posting. Eagleton, Mc Mahon and Giansiracussa are simply not up to league level when it comes to leadership and influencing a game. Farren Ray is learning their bad habits as is Cooney.

I know some people have disagreed with Boyd on the list, but he is there because his skills under pressure are ordinary. However, I would keep him as he always gives 100% and makes the most of the ability he does have. If soem of those with greater ability had his effort they would be actual champions, not just in the minds of those with Rose colored glasses.

There are some statements I disagree with, but you are possionate and are entitled to your opinion and those who say we don't want you as supporters should understand if people like you and I and families stop being members there will only be 10,000 memebers and the club will die.

The current group will not be successful, we just have to hope the younger group coming through are not to scarred that they to fall into the same acceptance of failure that has clearly come back to our club again.

It'll be a Robbins scenario...playing himself out at Werribee.

Good call... I think every player on the list over the age of 28 needs to be looked at very closely.

Questions like the following need to be asked:

Is there any scope for improvement?

Is there very best deserving of a place in the best 18?

Can what they bring to the team be replaced by a younger player on the list who in time may do it better?

If these questions are asked and answered fairly you would think that Eagleton may find himself in danger. Eade has said that we are still perhaps 2 or 3 years away from being a good side, Eagleton wont be around then and unlike West, Grant and Johnson he doesn't bring anything to the team that we dont already have, except a raking left foot which at times can be handy, but is that enough??

Agreed, too many spots are taken up by 28+ players. To be honest i'd rather akermanis take eagletons spot and inject a younger player to develop where aka usually takes his place.

OK Benno you have got me going.

I think the pre season preparations by GIA (number 1 culprit), Jordie, Power and soon to be Wight & Ray is a disgrace and they should hold their heads in shame. They must take personal responsibility for their poor personal development.

They have bodies of under 14 year olds.

Though Higgins has had an ordinary season at least you can see his body development and know that in the future he will be able to physically mix it.

The whole support team for weights and diet should be reviewed as well for allowing this to happen.

Should I feel proud?

No, but you are highlighting issues that raise questions that need to be answered.

You also gave me the motivation to release some frustration!

Ooops I just realised it was Dogupya that inspired me.

Apologese to both.

Im interseted to know what it is about my posting that you don't agree with? Purely out of curiosity and potential for adult debate, rather than childish rantys about our club not needing supporters like me...

Don't know, he sounds like a supporter/member to me. He/she buys a membership and is entitled to have an opinion.

Hear that Scray?? That's your point flying right over Benjos head...Woosh....

I only disagree with 2 and then it is not strongly disagree. I think Skippers efforts in the ruck and around the ground show some potential but due to his height I would have liked to see him spend the last couple of weeks in a key forward position to see if he really has improved. Each time he has shown signs he has got injured but this year has worked hard to get back.

As for Minson he is 21. Ruckmen take until at least 25 to learn their craft. But for Darcy being given a free run I beleive he deserved a game 2 weeks before he got injured.

Reallity is big blokes can take 5 or 6 years to mature as footballers and those 2 have shown something worse continuing with.

Jason Akermanis - I hate your guts. You don't belong here. How the hell did you win 3 brownlows, i ve never seen so many kick and hope turnovers, if your the best kick in the league then i know nothing about footy.

He's been OK dog. It sounds like you may have had it in for him before he got here. There's been plenty worse than him. At least it looks like he gives a f***.

Far too many mistakes from a 300 game veteran. I know he has flashes where he does really well and turns it on, but he goes missing far too often.

What I cannot fathom is his kick and hope routine, where at least4 times on Sunday he laid it on the boot, it travelled 60 metres and fell to 3 waiting hawks, un opposed. There was no pressure on him, god know what he was looking at, but I expect far greater from a 300 game veteran of 3 premierships. He seems to do it alot, where he thinks he can split players and somehow do the miraculous, yet it always turns to crud.

He needs far greater reward for his possesions as they are becoming more limited.
