Spoken like a true coach. Was just on fox footy's on the couch and it seems to me that he is surely Collingwoods next coach. Loves the game, has great knowledge and has been coached by many respected coaches such as Malthouse and Mathews (wont include Walls into that exclusive category as he is such a louzy journo).
Buckely in 2010 holding up the premiership cup as coach was with Diasy Thomas right by his side as captain. Now that will be a site to behold.

Was very professional until the last question Re: Wakes and Presti. He couldn't wipe the smurk off his face, obviously thanks to Sheahan as to whether the pull-outs last week were really injuries.

On the topic of Bucks going overseas to Soccer clubs for example to see how coaching works at a world-wide point of view, I think this doesn't need to be done, but if so, he will become a good coach, and he already has the knowledge and love of the game to be a success.

I was disappointed by Gerard, Mike and Robert as to them not asking the question, (with them saying, you don't have to answer this), as to when talking about him playing next season, that IF we would win the premiership, not saying we will, and taking out of account the week-by-week ways of thinking, would he retire then and there when receiving his long-awaited premiership medal. Suprised I didn't hear it from one of them, considering they were on topic.

I was also suprised to hear that he isn't 100% certain that he will play on next year. But then again at that age, it's a tough ask, especially for a player of Nathans standard to keep living up to that benchmark week in week out. However, if he is feeling the way he is now without any problems to the body, i wouldn't put it beyond him to play on for another two seasons after this. The great man really does deserve a premiership and the Collingwood footy club should be doing everything in its power to prolong his career and give him every possiblity of winning one. Afterall, the contribution this man has done to our club is priceless.

I thought Mike, Robert and Gerard asked Bucks some terrific questions. I think Mike asked, is this team better than those who played off in the 02-03 grand finals. Bucks said, wait until this side has developed before you can answer that. But we all know this side is more talented. IMO better midfield, the forwards have matured, the backs are relatively equal in ability - but the inclusion of Heath Shaw and Dane Swan has gave the current team a spring in its step.

Bucks going overseas could work wonders. He will gain that extra 5% in knowledge (we hope), at the same time he knows Aussie Rules inside out. Still, I think Burns will make a terrific coach too. Something tells me he is the man for the job, but whoever gets it, may they bring success!

Bucks won't pull the pin. He will as captain of Collingwood, but not as player.
