broke the record as the most prolific captain in collingwood history with a great performance tonight.

seriously, after tonights performance I don't see an end in sight for Bucks. sure he's 34, but some of the passes he delivered tonight showed that he has still got what it takes to play top quality footy at the highest level.

as long as he doesn't get seriously injured, I can't see why he can't go on for another 3 years at least (big call I admit). But even if he does continue to lose a few yards of pace and a couple of metres off his kicking, he is still the most damaging kick of the ball in the AFL. as long as the players can get it to Bucks in a few yards of space he will still have the ability to deliver a pinpoint pass from at least 40 metres away. Long live the great one.

Oh and he put in a pretty decent performance of Bert's Family Feud too before the game. Gained $15,000 for his designated charity.:D

I swear to you, the way he would pinpoint a player with those kicks, I couldnt hide the smile from my face. We are witnessing one of the greatest players ever to wear a Collingwood jumper, and a pretty fair comment to say, one of the greatest players ever to play the game, a complete midfielder.
Obviously when you say 'One of the greatest players to play the game', its a list of a 100 but what a list and Buckley is deservant of such acclaim. He is the sort of player that in 30-40-50 years people look back and wish they got a chance to see.

As for your comments on him going another 3 or so years. Why not! But I wouldnt think it'd happen, the game is getting faster and faster, and his body isnt up for it, we are already nursing him through seasons with those hammys, theres no chance of pushing it. But you can be sure he will play the next 2 years in the same manner as tonight, as a CHF, HHF'er who moves up to the midfield and delievers a perfect ball to the FF.

Buckley was simply brilliant. If it wasn't for his goal we would have lost the game.

Who wants to see him break Tony Shaws record for most games? I
