Since late 2005 he has been deadset sensational in defence. I can't remember the last time he was comprehensively beaten in a game.

Don't underestimate the importance of a good fullback, remember the days of Big Al getting carved up every 2nd week?

And with Rivers dominating at CHB our defence is the most settled it has been since the Shanahan/Ingerson days.

He did as well as he could have yesterday, Williams could easily have kicked 5 or 6.

One thing i didnt pick up till recently was his fitness, he runs all day and must be one of best endurance players at the Dees which is good to see.

As you said, rarely gets beaten.

Williams was the wrong match up for him on paper, because the guy is damn quick.

But even 5 goals is not bad, considering Hawthorn dominated the clearances in the first half.

The Mo is simply awesome, and I hope his hammy is alright. I'd love to see him :D:D:D:D all over Lynch next week.

Good point on his fitness. Is as tough as anything and never gives up. In seriousness on how he has gone this year, he would be up in the top 3 FB's so far this year I reckon.

Definately underrated, but needs to earn his respect by playing out a full year and a finals series at least.

He is well on the way though.

He's taken some telling marks as well this year.

But does anyone else reckon his name should be 'Mick' not Nathan?? With those handlebars:thumbsu: ...

i'm not sure if he's under rated... he's been well recognised for the work he's done i think, i've seen a few newspaper articles on him etc... he's rated enough... lets just hope he keeps this form up...

Carroll-Rivers combination is so exciting for Melbourne supporters. Can build a defence around these two for the next 8 years. Also Miller may be used back and Fergy and you havew the makings of a champion backline
