just watched this, how we have missed this type of play

Those were his glory days. Sadly I think he's lost a yard of pace though which was so crucial to his damaging runs. Should still be a good solid inside player though but I don't think we'll see the out and out gun he used to be.

Not according to his sprint times at training..... if you believe what we are told...

His overall posessions were not what we are used to from him but by no means the worst in the squad. He topped the tackle count I think though with 10. What a machine, it will take a while as his fitness and confidence in his body continues to grow. As others have said though just great to have him back !!

Far from the worst player against the Dees. 10 tackles; that's huge! Only his first full AFL level game back so pretty impressed, only good things to come if he keeps up this pace.

Delighted he's fit again, and I'm hoping he's still a bit "rusty", but jeez Foley turns the ball over a lot....and I mean a ******* lot!

He's always been a pretty average kick...

Said it in the past, he's a guy we should be offering up for picks or trading with someone like GWS. We got the best out of him years ago.

Agreed jko. He's lost a yard and a half and that was his strength. Disposal certainly continues to be an issue. This is not a reaction to the Carlton game (44% efficiency), I've really noticed it this season and it regularly costs us.

Great to have Foley on the field :thumbsu:

Some of the club media has talked about the way the Tigers have shown faith in injured players, offering them contract extensions before they are back on the park. Grimes was another who was resigned while under a cloud. I like that.

When you show your players faith and belief, it usually gets repaid. This game is played mostly above the shoulders. I want the Tigers to be confident of themselves and clear about their place in the team.

We all greatly admire Foley but it looks as though his best is in the past. He doesn't rip games apart any more.

What a load of shit he's just come back give him a pre season and watch him have a great year in 2014 people who suggest trading Foley are clueless absolutely clueless. Praise Petterd for his shitty disposal and we want to keep him? honestly what the hell. Not sure if people know this but kicking accurately at full speed isnt easy and most of the time he hits his target or puts it into a good spot for his team mates.

will come good next year, i have noticed his kicking still needs more work but lets face it with his injuries kicking was off limits in his long lay off, so 2013/2014pre season should fix this, his hands are better than ever tho, love him..

I would absolutely hate to see Foley in another jumper but I'd be surprised if this discussion doesn't eventuate in the List Managers office.....
