what does everyone think of him? i personally think he is a good player, hard in and under, and did a awsome job tagging Nick Stevens tonight when Johnson was off. He has good pace, and a decent kick. Has a good future with us i reckon. very promising.

He's slotted in very quietly but it getting the footy, and looks calm with it. I was under the impression that he was an in and under player who couldnt kick, but from what Ive seen he uses the ball fine, that kick to Tuck was superb last night.

Frustrating seeing him only getting limited game time though, I think he adds a lot when he's out there. If Johnson's out injured I hope Foley gets plenty more minutes.

Axle only got 52 minutes on the field and gathered 10 possesions as a tagger. That shows his capabilities

Its all well and good to say he looked alright vs. the worst midfield in the comp. Lets assess our midfield against West Coast, Adelaide, Dogs, St. Kilda.

Foley had his worst game this year against the Blues going by number of possessions and he actually had his better games against the better midfields so you obviously don't watch the Tigers play.

Stamina. Playing in the guts (bumps, tackles, blocks etc) takes a bit out of a guy. He can't really play anywhere else. Each preseason will see him able to play more minutes.

Never be a star, but can be a handy ball winner and clearance player. We haven't had a proper rover since (?) Weightman (?). Naish was OK-ish for a while.

Played a great game yesterday. Wasnt his type of game but when the ball was to be one in the centre clearences, he was very reliable, even got us that goal from his centre clearance to Patto. Great tackle on Johncock towards the end as well.

I didn't see much of him in the first half, did he get much gametime? Certainly got amongst it in the second half as we knew he would. Love his attack on the footy.
