Who do we play on him this week??
He's a gun, an pivotal to their entire midfield. In our main losses this year, especially at subi, one particular opposition midfielder has carved us up, and i have a really bad feeling that he will this week.
Not saying that we'll lose, and i'm not counting my chickens too early, but do we play stinger or selwood? Or someone else, like Matt Rosa, who played on Adam Simpson and Shannon Grant in periods Sunday?

Daniel Kerr. See how he fares on a player in red hot form and bloke who runs both ways.

Pretty sure the kid doesnt work as well in the air. Whoever plays on him will push foward hard and make him accountable.

That's why i was thinking Rosa. If he could play the way that he did on the weekend, then he'll do the job. Foley does run hard though, noticed it a lot against collingwood last friday- he killed them.
My roughie? Priddis. Both play similar type in and under games, so it could be a good test for him.

Couldnt play either of those two, has to be a designated stopper or someone who could match his pace.

Kerr or Selwood IMO.

Kerr is an interesting one, cos that's what he did against wells and sansbury, and exposed their lack of defensive capabilities. Selwood has been in AA for this year, and great against those type players.
Would they try a combination??

Selwood.

If Kerr gets the gig then he will be smashed going the other way.

Must be Selwood.

Tend to agree, it would be a roll of the dice with Kerr. Kerr would smash Foley one way and Foley would smash Kerr the other way.

Got a feeling it is a risk Woosh may take considering Cox is leading the Ruck for WCE and Pattison for the Tigs.

Fair call Trump.

We can only speculate at this stage, but Im sure Whoosha has a plan in place for the little clearance king.

who played on him last time???
Does help though, (in the clearances) that he's the only one at tigerland that looks like he wants to get the ball...

Cant for the life of me remember.

Hell I cant remember yesterday. :o

Dont really know why it matters...... Selwood/stinga to tag him, and the rest of the on ballers to SMASH the clearances apart. Would be like judd in a crap team, not going to win a game for you if they're getting dominated around the ground.

The trick to stopping foley is for our midfield to play well.

Kerr stands him in centre bounces but not as a stopper, he just goes and gets the ball. If a tight tag goes to Kerr, then Kerr goes to Foely and someone else is loose.

General play Selwood should shadow him.

Pridis (gun) but is simply too slow for Foely.

As always putting preasure on the ball carrier across the board will casue turnovers. Even last week the Tigers disposal was sloppy without much preasure, Collingwood was just worst.

I will say though if Judd does go east I'd be happy with Foely + the #1 pick coming back....plus Tambling for Sampi.

What happened to stinger being our tagger? I guess since he got injured, selwood got the gig, but once he gets his fitness back up I hope he goes back to that role. He was smashing everyone last year.

Selwood will probably take foley. I don't think he will be that important against us, just because we have a far better midfield over all.

If Stenglein is our number one tagger, then he should get the job.

Someone might need to run with Deledio if he looks in good touch early too.

If Nico was back this week id put him on Deledio, probably just as quick & tall.

Foley needs a really tight tag to limit his influence, so put Stenglien on him in the Centre and Selwood can pick him up around the ground.

You shouldnt be worried about Foley... Richmond should be worried about your midfield i.e. Kerr, Cousins, Braun etc. Whilst Foley will be damaging at times, Glass will more than likely smash Richo thus having no real impact on the scoreboard. Cox will give your guys 1st use of the ball so you shouldn't worry about it too much.
