Hasen't Been mentioned yet, i noticed last night that Foley used his explosive Bursts of speed away from stopages. This was what he was renound for in his breakout year in 07, in 08 he was very good but not at his best.

At the start of the season Foley's has had all the stats, but not been as damaging, last night all his kicks hurt the Eagles at an effieciency of 90%.

No doubt our best Midfielder if he can recapture his 07 form.

Averaging 27 disposals this year.

I had a huge grin and a tent in my pants when he started breaking packs last night. I would've needed to change if he hit that goal on the run.

When it all clicks and players like Deledio, Cotchin, Foley and Jackson as the tagger form the core of our midfield the opposition will probably tag one of lids, cotch or foley which will free up the other two. I envision (is that a word?) a time when lids cotch and foley rotate the BOG between them and are one of the dominant midfields of the AFL.

Yeah definatly was his best for a while, thats his flaw really finishing off his good work, just needs to settle and not run at full pace to sink the outside 50 goals.

Needs to work on his finishing and kick thoses goals running into 50mts. A class midfielder will do that. Was superb last night. Back to his explosive best.

Foley get's alot of the ball and has pace. But his skill level has dropped the last 12 months. Hopefully he picks it up again. In 2 years when we hope to up near the top I wonder if Foley and Tuck will both be part of it. We probably can only afford 1 of them in the team if we want to be a top 4 team

Basically every game this year he has had more handballs than kicks - and by a large margin eg 9 kicks, 20 H. Sat night was 15 & 16.

I'd like to see him have even more kicks - that means more running bounces - IMO a very under-rated tactic for breaking up zones,floods etc.

A lot of those handballs are from being inside the clearances, though.

Big fan of foley and glad to see him back in some form. Its almost as if he read the posts about some of the supporters wanting to trade him then went out on saturday night to prove them wrong.
