“Everyone says that, as a West Australian you should be supporting the West Australian teams, but I can tell you that it’s not that at all,” he said.

“We’ll be going for Collingwood. Wish West Coast all the best of luck, but I think all the Fremantle supporters will be on Collingwood.”

These were the words of fashion extraordinaire, entrepreneur and part time footballer Nathan Fyfe. I would like to thank Nathan most sincerely for these remarks, as it has just made our win all the more sweeter. Knowing that Nathan, his followers (those poor souls who have been duped into buying overpriced F7 caps) the Fremantle players and their fans were barracking hard against us makes me so happy. It just makes our win all the more sweeter, knowing how badly they didn't want this to happen. How they watched us climb the summit a fourth time, while they faithfully continued their 24 year tradition of wallowing in failure and spewing their usual bile about our club. Oh how sweet it is.

We don't need their support, nor do we want it. I barracked against his club in their one and only (failed) Grand Final appearance. I savoured it. I loved it. But nowhere near as much as I loved yesterday. While the 2013 Grand Final left me feeling satisfied, it did not leave me feeling happy. Yesterday was a feeling of true happiness. We were basking in our own achievements and were impervious to outside noise. Not caring about Nathan or what his pathetic club thinks. Not caring what anyone thinks, for that matter. After 24 years, Nathan and his club still do not understand what true happiness feels like. After all, they have never experienced it, nor do they have anything to be happy about. I guess they need to find something to fill that void.

Thanks again Nathan. I truly mean it. Now please take your $64.95 F7 hat and shove it where the sun don't shine.

Chris Mayne, he got out of there and like every other ex Focker, reached his true potential at a real club.
 
Hes just a bitter campaigner who, like his local drafted freo teammates wished they were drafted by the more successful WA club.

Make no mistake we have a culture of arrogant success. Its just ingraned in us whereas the pathetic success starved mob down the road have what, a few failed finals appearances and what 2-3 years of success without the ultimate satisfaction.

We're still closer to winning another premiership than those campaigners are - just because our organisation just knows how to win.

Was wondering why he was on the panel. Seemed a little like a conflict of interest. Don't mind him personally, he said what most were thinking...though who says you have to follow WA teams? Kinda interesting the premier is a Dockers supporter but was an Eagle for a day. He said most of WA would be behind the Eagles, which shows he's either that out of touch or it was a nice political pro WA sound bite. I doubt anyone could be that clueless though. But no doubt there are at least a few Dockers fans happy for us. I was actually barracking for the Dockers in 2013, but tbh many of the fans I've met here have been offputting lol. I really do think many need to focus on their own club's success rather than having that jealous chip on the shoulder mentality
 
To be fair when freo were in the gf i wasnt going for them and wont in the future

I wouldn’t expect anything less from our most bitter rival’s captain. We’d all be disappointed Bunga was in the same situation and said ‘yeah the boys will get around Freo and I reckon most Eagles fans will too’....

Exactly, not dirty in him for that at all.
Would be fine with our rivals coming out saying I hope they get smashed.
