saw him last couple of weeks and he'd fit our needs perfectly, What's the opinion around here of him?

Also what chance do we have of picking up Medhurst (doubt it)

I doubt Paul Medhurst will be leaving Fremantle any time in the near future, so our chances of getting him would be zero and none.

As for Nathan Thompson, he'd be a great addition to our side but not sure we'll be able to get him to Geelong. Hawthorn wont want to lose any of their key players and if they do, it will have to be for something good. (therefore not David Clarke)

Nathan Thompson would be fantastic because he is a goal kicking forward who provides a physical presence. I would take Thompson ahead of Rawlings but the media seem to think that he has been classified as untouchable by Hawthorn. He is still out of contract though. Unless something dramtic happens over the next 5 weeks our candidates for a forward seem have been reduced to Whitnall, Rawlings and Lucas. The last two only because the salary cap may force them out. There is also one or two inconsistant players like Croad and bradshaw who we could probably get but we would have to pay over the market odds to get them because clubs like the Bulldogs and Melb will be after them as well.

Thompson has stated that he wants to stay a Hawk. He is only just coming into form. He is also a second tier ruckman when Spider Everitt is out injured.

Sorry to disappoint guys, but he stays.

I would love him at Geelong, also ahead of Rawling but I think the chances are slim...he is a vice captain at Hawthorn isn't he?
