I have a demo of this on my computer, and I'm kinda addicted to it. Does anyone;

a) know if it would still be on the shelves? and
b) have the game and what are your thoughts?

It's pretty simple graphics I suppose but it's still a nifty 'lil game.

have the game... but its been replaced on my system by '99, '00, '01...

still playing '01 regularly on my pc....

NBA Live 2003 is the best of the lot. 2001 was a disappointment from my POV. I would much rather play 2000 with its arcady graphics and arcady gameplay. BTW- Live 98 was great fun!:D I still remember that awesome blocking style where you have your arm straight up in the air and you're pivoting in the air. People who have played this game know what I mean:) Listen, if you haven't played any of the other games in the series then you will like it. However, you will notice the differences if you've played any of the later games....

Yeah I can understand the newer games would be better, but my computer has very little space on it and I dunno, I seem to prefer the older games.

I might have a try downloading it off Kazaa.

I have NBA Live 98, and it is the game I play to most, still to this day.

I have played about 4 or 5 full seasons on it. Currently I am playing as Dallas which are the 29th rnaked team.

I have played NBA 03 on the PS2 and I prefer 98, the game has gotten too 'arcade' for me as the series has progressed. NBA Live 98 is much more realistic, except for the fact that LaPhonso Ellis always plays well.

That's EA for you though. Sega have overtaken them in the sport's games genre in my opinion.

From NBA Live 95 to NBA Live 99 you couldnt go past the EA Sports series. Since then it's all gone downhill.

NBA 2K3 is now the shiz nits in the NBA gaming world. I would also rather play Inside Drive 03 before Live 03. ID is pretty good.

i doubt it would still be on the shelves (or even in bargain bins) after 5 years.
i'd keep looking for it on a file sharing program or one of those 'crack' websites. i don't know how prolific e-bay is, but perhaps you could find it there if you're prepared to pay...

i play live '00 on PC myself, it's pretty good except for a few AI hitches, and is perhaps a bit too easy (currently, i'm trying to win the championship with a team of players all rated under 60).

got nba live 2003 off of kazaa is a hard file to find unzip and get to work, got lucky and found one that installs itself and is a good game to play.
