NBA Draft

Ok seems we have a few people on here with an interest in the NBA, so whats are your guys predicitons for the draft tommorrow (about 14 hours to go)?
Latest i heard is that the Wizards might take Kwarme Brown as the number 1 pick instead of going for a trade...any thoughts?
Also seems a done deal that the Grizzlies are trading Shareef to the Hawks for Wright, Knight and the number 3 pick; and the Nets are trying to send Marbury to the Clippers for the number 2 pick and Dooling.
My predictions, no surprises i'm sticking with the experts:
1 Washington Kwame Brown
2 LA Clippers Tyson Chandler
3 Atlanta/Grizzlies Pau Gasol/Shane Battier
4 Chicago Eddy Curry
5 Golden State Eddie Griffin
with Diop, Richardson, Johnson and White to fill out the top ten.

I think Washington should trade up for an already proven athlete. The talent pool this year isnt as great as previous years, if this year there was a NO DOUBT ABOUT IT THIS GUY IS GOING NUMBER 1 type guy then get him but i believe anyone could go first. I like Shane Battier's game and should go top 5 easily, hopefully first.

Didnt hear anything about those trades though, ive been regularly checking up on NBA.com but they have nothing supporting those statements you made. Do you have anything to back it up cos they are some big names your throwing around there with Marbury and Abdur Rahim.

Well jod they were just rumours, but now i got the facts to back up the Reef trade. But first the official draftess from today's NBA draft:

There was no Marbury trade, but the Reef trade was on the money. Bulls traded Elton Brand to the Clippers for Chandler and Skinner. Nets traded Griffin for Houston's first three picks.

Yeah i saw it all today on NBA.com, can not believe my Bulls traded away Brand!! Why trade a very good youngster who is already averaging 20 10 for high schooler who could just turn out to be a dud. Everyone thinks that just cos KG and Kobe managed to be successful straight out of High School that everybody will.

That was an absolute shocking deal, the Bulls better know something i dont about Chandler. I saw his numbers, something like 22 15 and 4 blocks a game but there high school numbers. Translate them to NBA number and there 8 6 and 1. Unlike Brands guaranteed 20 10 every night. The bulls cant even say they were trading for youth because Brand was only in his third year!!

I thought the Reef deal was stupid. Its like the Grizzlies are always trying to make themselves worse??? Kings will be better next year with the Williams Anderson trade for Bibby and Price. Williams was getting no minutes after Bobby Jackson started to show some skills but Bibby is all class and should share the point well with Jackson.

By the way Outkast you were almost right on the money with your picks on the draft.

Yeah i don't think we can judge the Bulls trade until we see what these high schoolers can do...it all comes down to that dangerous word 'potential'. On paper you got Fizer and Chandler in the frontcourt, Crawford and Mercer in the backcourt, Curry at center and a sixth man in Artest. Whats Mercer, like 24-25? And he's the grandpa of the team! I guess Bulls fans are gonna have to sit back for a few seasons, but surely you can't be crictical of the Bulls. Sure Brand is a gun, but he's been there for two seasons and how much have the Bulls improved? I think they needed more than an Elton Brand, the guy is only 6'8" and he was asked to do the work of a 7 foot centre. I think he will really fit in at the Clips, and hopefully take Olawakandi and Odom's games to a new level. Then when the Darius Miles show lights up (i love that guy) the Clips should be pushing for a playoff spot this season. The Bulls should really be in the position the Clips are in now in one-two seasons time. Basically i think in the end it will be win/win for both the Bulls and the Clips.

I hear ya QT, he was a fan favourite and he was the guy we were gonna build the team around and now all we've got is a bunch of unproven youngsters. If it comes off and these kids are awesome then ill say good move Chicago but right now i dont see the logic in it? The Clippers on the other hand must be rubbing there hands together.

What a blockbuster though between Kidd and Marbury, i love blockbuster trades, it can totally change the look and style of a team, a pity it never happens in the AFL. The Suns will look different next year with Clifford Robinson also being traded and they also say there not finished??

Also saw on NBA.com thats is almost public knowledge that MJ and Barkley will return next year to play for the Wizards?? Horrid idea and i hope he doesnt do it. I love Mike but if he's going to come back at 38 then hes going to need help and an equally old Barkley and a team of duds at Washington isnt the help he needs. Hes the greatest player the world has ever seen but he aint superman, he wont be able to turn the Wizards into a championship outfit in one year with guys he has down there. If he comes either come back with a team that is in championship contention or start wheeling and dealing and bring some quality to Washington.

Pippen has to be unhappy at Portland? There not gonna win a championship there now, too much individual talent and not enough teamwork, so trade Pippen for some role players therefore helping the Blazers figure out what teamwork is and bring Scottie and MJ back together
