Really liking the coverage this year. I was able to watch 3 out of the 4 games last week. Anybody got NBL.tv.

My NBL TV subscription decided to renew itself a week or two ago.

Probably depends on your ISP connection as much as anything else. I find the PC version buffers and freezes a bit. However I usually use it on my Android tablet which works perfectly decently. That said, I haven't tried the PC version yet this year, that it was it was like last year, perhaps it has improved since then.

I watched all of the Taipans - Crocs game on an iPad and it was fine for me

It's improved in the browser this year. The bit rate seems to be more stable. Too often last year it would suddenly go to the lowest bit rate and it wasn't watchable (even on my 100Mbps connection).

It's a lot better now, but don't have expectations that it's going to be anything like NBA LP or NFL GP.

A quick turn around for the Breakers and Wildcats, I just dont think the Wildcats are ready as a team yet for the 2 games in 2 days.

Fiba live stats. It's pretty basic though

The NBL website usually does have live stats and scores for each game. But tonight they had an error message saying it was out due to technical problems.

First and second dunks for the evening. The 3rd one was the best of the lot, but its not on youtube yet. Dunked on a kings player who was tring to run him down from behind on a break. The crowd went beserk. The Perth crowd is mental normally, but with James Ennis playing you can sense the excitement when he has the ball. My fave NBL player in years. Get out and see him while you can, he'll be playing in the NBA soon.

They wanted him to play D-League and he wanted more than 25k. Pretty sure he comes from a poor family and he said he is on 6 figures at Perth.

I seen up until the second qtr and their was a few times you could see he was looking to run down the court and throw down big !.

Also, that doesn't mean they stashed him in the NBL. After he made his decision of NBL over D-League of course they're going to tell him to learn...

I think I remember him saying that the European teams didn't offer an NBA out clause, whilst Perth did.

Yes this is correct, once signed to a European team he wasn't free to return to Miami if they recalled him. They reportedly offered much more than Perth also. Exclusing tragedy, I don't see Miami using him this season. He didn't fit under their Cap.

Positives:

• The standard of play is better than its ever been
• The atmosphere inside the Cage was excellent. Small and intimate
• The game moves briskly. No excessive time outs, TV time outs etc

Negatives

• $40 a ticket? No.
• Got there at 1.30. Car park full. Went to the zoo next door. Car park full. Had to park a 15 minute walk away in a residential street.
• FFS stop playing the music constantly. 90 secs to go, scores level, Rhianna is blaring. I dont know how the players can communictate. Let the game create its own noise

Pretty much right on the money...atmosphere seemed OK on TV too. Shame the Tigers couldn't get it done, again..
