Need some help finding a game

Had this game on PS1 back in the day, it's doing my head in trying to find the name of it, none of my google searches have found it. Here are the details I remember:

- Main character might be a pirate, he's a bit Arab looking, might have a goatee
- I'm pretty sure he wears a purple turban
- It's a platformer
- I think he has a sword

Not much to go on but hopefully someone can help me out here!
