Pretty good article I thought. Will be interesting to see how the players will respond. I for one am looking forward to Saturday Night as I think the response will be very positive.

Gee Viney is exciting. Everything he does and says seems to tick the right box!

It was a very interesting read, what annoys me is why do we have to take an ass raping like we did on Sunday to produce an improved performance this week? The effort should be there every week, week in week out.

Excited to see Terlich play, and i want Jetta in the side as i think he is the type to have a 100% effort every time he plays.

It is frustrating. It was only one game so we just have to hope it is the only game for the season where we put in a performance like that. I am just hoping it was a case of the players have put in really hard over the preseason and expected it would translate into on field. They have now learnt they still need to apply that same effort in games, it won't just happen.

We will have to wait and see if there is an increased effort, Although I agree I want to see Jetta in the side this week, god knows we need the run!

One clip was of defender James Frawley.
"He's as honest as the day is long, and we said, 'Chipper, what happened here?'
"He said, 'I can remember that and I thought I was going quick. I felt like I was going quick. But looking at that, I wasn't going quick'.
"I said, 'Chipper, you weren't'.

lol

Sounds like a scene out of a police academy movie

So wtf is happening on game day then? There's 4 quarters to "see it coming!!"

Gotta agree with this. Did Neeld (or anybody else) really need the GPS data after the game to tell them the work rate wasn't there? Also, a "heart-to-heart" a couple of day later is great and all, but a good, old fashioned, spit flying, in the face spray at quarter time might have also worked. And at a time when it could actually have turned the game around.

Big laughs when they accidentally wander into the Blue Oyster Bar one day.

Honestly. It was clear the players were way off the mark after the first five minutes.

At training the game plan is pretty clear, move the ball quickly and precisely by foot (preferred, with players encouraged to play on a carry the ball before delivering by foot) or hand - out of defense and down the wings.

Then either bomb it to the advantage of a marking forward or hit up a lead.

Then work to lock the ball inside the forward 50 through pressure.

It is a counter-attacking game plan from my view.

Obviously 'Plan A' is win the ball out of the stoppage and lock it in your forwardline... but 'Plan A' doesn't always come off (lol).

It's a game plan based on decision making and skill execution... the serious problem is, Neeld continues to pick 'competitors' over players with skill who don't 'compete' to the same manic extent (Jordie McKenzie - case in point)

The other serious problem is the only 'team' the game plan seems to be effective against is us.

On game day winning the ball inside seems to be the main concern. About the only thing we were any good at last year. Problem is we don't have the players to do anything with it.

What kind of game plan is that?
How about they try hitting a bloke on the lead with a pin point pass.
