Neil Craig proven great coach, late opportunity but done the job.
Unfortunately media sack the coaches.
They must be shit coaches , because every sacked coach is picked up as an assistant

Who is available to replace Neil Craig and is one of them suitable?

Assuming coaching experience is a non-negotiable.

Now that Bolton has a couple of years under his belt does the role change?

Candidates?

Rodney Eade
Paul Roos
Mark Williams

There are some others but I'm not sure of their suitability.

Could we drag an older coach back on the basis of it being a part-time appointment. Craig, from what I observed, was involved at training and on match day. Maybe the new head of coaching could take a step back and act in a mentoring role.

Come on down Rocket Eade
Oh God no....Overrated coach. His excuse that if he had known how bad things were, he would not have taken the job, was immature. A football person with that much experience and connections in the industry i.e. Eddie, and he didn't do his due diligence. The fact is that he was an average coach. Can do better.

But it's not as a coach. It's support. He is a mature individual with a heap of experience and apparently well liked and a good people person. Don't know him personally and Blues will do their research but seems to have the skills that fit the role. Not disimilar to Craig.

I think the position should be part time as the coaches at Carlton now have had two years of assistance from Neil Craig. As I stated earlier Craig was hands on at training and on match day. I think a smaller role focusing on the coaches would open up the field to an older generation of retired coaches as the recently retired and sacked coaches don't 'rock my boat'.

Part time Director of Coaching, Development & Performance? No way. It's an important role these days. Supports all the coaches etc. Professional clubs needs full time people in these roles.

Whats your beef with Chocco? Much better coach than Rocket.

He got a bit of stick for this but i absolutely loved it. Seeing how much the flag meant to him. He was Port royalty. His up yours to Allan Scott was the best. He is a bit weird and has some questionable opinions but he got the minor premiership twice, Premiership once, R/U once. Good player too.
