I'll start it....
The two ones that stick out in my mind:
His massive bump on Luke McCabe (Hawthorn) at the MCG Punt Rd end coming out of full forward, one of the best hip and shoulders you will ever see.
His record breaking 273rd game against St.Kilda at the 'G in 2006 where he came out and kicked 6 goals in the first half, destroying the Saints, and finished with 8.

I remember seeing him after Yze's 250th at the Prahan Hotel and he was such a nice bloke. Maybe cause he had a few beers in him by that stage but he was up for a chat and signed my jumper. One of those moments that left me pretty star struck.

And thankyou Neita for all the goals

The single most insiratonal piece of play i have ever witnessed by a player in a melbourne jumper. Poor old luke McCabe didnt know what hit him. Broke his color bone again, picked up the spills from the collision, brushed aside his direct opponent swung around and put it threw post high from 50. Round 1 2002 can someone hook up the you tube link to this.

That sums up the great man, lead from the front and inspired team mates and members alike to jump on his back and he would carry us all.

Another match versus hawthorn when we were going to merge, again lead from the front. If the club was going to merge he wasnt going to let us go down quietly. Kicked 9 goals in a shot out with one of the all time great full fowards jason dunstall. Made our team believe we were going to win that night and he wasnt going to let us lose even though we were shocking that year. Carried a bunch of no-hopers.

Sadest day since schwarta did his knee for the third time. Cograts on a brilliant career big fella

My favourite Neitz memory was meeting him in the rooms after losing to Sydney in round 21 2002. The team had been absoloutely hammered and most of the players weren't really in a talking mood ( understandable ) yet Neita was more than happy to talk, pose for photos and sign autographs.

He would have spent a good ten minutes just talking to me and thats a big deal when your only ten years old. He was and still is the friendliest AFL player i've come across

We will all miss you Neita, thanks for the memories mate

everytime he won the toss, he'd strut back hand raised towards the end we were kicking, head bobbing, made me and my mate laugh every team

and kicking goals from the half forward flank then raising one arm to the air and charging towards centre half forward, teammates surrounding him, he just knew how to rally the troops

simple memories, just little things that will always stick in my mind

love the great man, will be missed

A couple of videos other people have put on youtube

In this one, the hit on McCabe is right at the end

and, this one is pretty bad quality, but still

I have many great memories, from the belting he handed St Kilda, to his 250th against Geelong, and his 300th where while we got beaten, i still went home with a good feeling having seem him reach the milestone

didnt have just 1 memory
maybe hes game against essendon with neil
does any1 no when they are going to send him off like at a game???
will it be this week???
miss ya neita

The McCabe bump sticks out most, turning around and kicking the goal, doesn't get much better.

The other memory that springs to mind is seeing him live kicking 7 in the win against Brisbane at the Gabba in 2002, inspirational game.

He followed it up with 9.2 from 11 kicks against Carlton the next week. Good days.

Brisbane game is a definite highlight! Love watching him take that mark in the last quarter where he is at full stretch and then going back and putting it straight through the middle!

that one sticks out for me... kicked 3, but had no right to be out on the telstra dome playing football... his knee was shot... would've kicked 5 or 6 but his knee was stuffed and it effected his kicking... just showed how big a heart the big fella has... missed a month of footy after that game I think...

also looking at that video that was the merger game against hawthorn back in 1996 by the look of it... neita kicked 6 however we just fell short to hawthorn... i was only 11 at the time, but I remember watching that game on the TV... was great to watch...

and on the mccabe bump... that was the season when neita started to become really physical, moreso than he had been previously... i remember hearing an interview with him and he was playing a practice match with sandy in the pre-season... he threw himself on the ball for 5 minutes and started laying some bumps and being really physical around the contest... his teammates all asked him why he didn't do that normally... from then on neita was always feared by the opposition...

How about his inspirational comback a year or so ago against the Roos? He kicked what, 6 second half goals?
Yes, Yes, Yes. Remember that, 20 points down at half time and ended up winning by 50 points. Neitz booted 9 in all and yeh 6 or 7 of them were second half goals. Won it mainly off his own boot.

Another one I think I can contribute here is the 2006 final v St.Kilda.

He kicked 4.3 on the night but the goal that sticks in my head is when Flash took on a few Saints and went long to him. As he was about to hit the ground he took a one hander in the square, went back and nailed it. That was the goal that put us in front in the last quarter and we didn't lose from there. The look on his face after he kicked that was something I'll never forget.
