Nets vs. Kings

Glad to see a great game on ESPN.

So far the Nets are dominating. Sacramento have been really lazy on both ends.

On the offensive end they're going for spot up jumpers rather than attempting to drive, and on the defensive end they're not getting back quickly enough.

No doubt the Kings will come back, they've got too much talent not to, just interesting to see what a quick athletic team can do to them at times.

Bibby and Webber are the major culprits so far, neither are giving much on the defensive end, both getting outhustled.

Just as an aside, the Kings seem a much better outfit with Brad Miller on the court.

Like Vlade and Christie, he busts his arse on defence, although he does make Shawn Bradley seem quick which doesn't help the Kings lack of athleticism.

Kerry Kittles is burning Mike Bibby at the minute. Bibby giving him a little too much space.

Doug Christie is so underrated. Deserves far more praise than some of his teammates.

Four treys now. On that last one, Webber just stood there, whilst Bibby made a half-hearted attempt to get in his face.

Just blew by Peja as if he wasn't there, to drop his 6th straight shot.

Nets have scored the first 8 points this quarter.

Kings are still playing horribly lazy defence, and again their lack of athleticism of killing them.

Time and time again Jefferson has isolated with Peja defending him, and time and time again he's made Peja look silly.

Kings need to find out the definition of the term, transition defence.

So many times Kidd has been able to get a long pass off to an open and streaking teammate, who usually has been able to score easily.

As the commentators say, this is an embarassment.

Hope the Kings don't play any athletic teams in the playoffs, if they do, they'll need to make plenty of shots, because their defence is diabolical.

An Indy vs NJ battle in the eastern finals would (and most likely will) be a cracker.

First time we get to see the Kings play this year and they blow. Was really looking forward to seeing them play well.

Disappointing to finally get the Kings on TV and for them to put in a shocker. I think you will find that that performance was just one of those nights. I would still back them in a 7 game series against any side in the NBA, athletic or not.
