i got an xbox360 and 4 other computer all wanting to be on the net at once...dam beside the epic lag. What best way to do so without wireless.

Get an 8-port router, and use wires.

Router modem would make it slightly easier.

Is there any particular reason why wireless is out of the question?

Because he needs 5 ports, finding a modem/router with more than 4 ports will be harder. Probably already has a modem already anyway.

I wouldn't want to burglarise your house..... the wires must be an obstacle course.

you can get usb wifi sticks for bout 50 bucks if you aren't confident installing a wireless card.

unless your computers are win98 boxes.... I'd invest the wireless route.

What is a decent wireless card? i need a 15-20 meter raidus
