Great article in Alpha Magazine/Herald Sun on Daisy and a 4 minute clip

AFL honour lists will always show Lenny Hayes as the winner of the Norm Smith Medal in the 2010 drawn Grand Final, and Scott Pendlebury as the recipient of it in the replay.
Great players, thoroughly deserved accolades - no question.

It is unfortunate, though, that those honour lists are not set up to reference a player who - resoundingly - was the best performer when it came to impact in the Grand Finals as a collective.

Some of his tackling last year and again in the NAB cup was bordering on reckless self endangerment.

A former high flying show pony now pound for pound one of the most ferocious tacklers in the league. And as for the amount of ground he covers running for his team mates - bloody hell he's developed a great tank and a sensational team first attitude.

Kudos daisy and more power to you!

No wonder he's now Mick's "love child" according to Harry.;)

But yes, he always has the potential to be a superstar, he just had to learn a defensive side to his game.

Like so many (Wellingham, Sidebottom) his "coming of age" game was the 09 final against the Crows, where he went hard at the ball with little regard for his own safety.

You know you are good when opposition supporters even state they'd love for Daisy to be playing for them.

Oh and GWS, **** OFF, you have no chance of getting Thomas.

I think it was far more to do with fitness then defensive side. Although if you are referring to the fact that he was played in defensive roles as a learning curb that's a fair point.

Yeah, I was referring more to the change that Mick made with Thomas either last year of the season before, when he played him off half back to basically teach him a "different side" to the game.

All throughout his under 18 days, he would have played "one way" football in the majority, so the move from Mick (and the rest of the coaching staff) in ding so, no doubt had a huge effect on the "growth" of Thomas as a player.

And yes, he had to get fitter to be a consistent midfielder, but that goes for most young players, as we are seeing with the likes of Sidebottom and Beams who I believe will take that "next step" also in 2011.:)

I can't believe other supporters think he is a squib. Daisy is reckless.

I think you will find that other supporters - including myself - thought he was a squib. I would be very surprised to find anyone who watched last years finals would still have that opinion. Exteme Collingwood bias would be the only reason anyone would say he is now a squib.

The thing is, he has always played with that same intensity and attack on the ball it's just now people are noticing.

I'd be very surprised if any of the people, including you, can actually name a single time he has squibbed a contest in his life. Was never, ever a squib. People just started changing their opinion because the media and other outlets started telling them to.
