New Consoles

I have saved up abit of money and could afford any console on the market at the moment. I was just wondering is it worth the wait for say a PSP2, PS4, Xbox 720 etc. Does anyone no the release dates of these aswell? Thanks in advance

Be prepared for a long wait for the new xbox or ps. There's nothing due out anytime soon.

The xbox will be first more than likely as it was the first to come out, but its doubtful that will be seen in the next 2 years, its barely 2 years old and hasn't reached the halfway point in its lifecycle. Post 2010 is most likely.

The ps3 hasn't reached anywhere near its potential yet, it'll be even longer.

Both consoles will go through a couple of upgrades before a new one is released, and will be relevant for a long time to come. If you have the money, buy now.

Honestly i'm not sure on the psp. But i haven't heard of anything in the wings. That said its getting on so its possible.

Not really into handheld gaming, prefer a lounge chair and a 42 inch LCD.

You'd think there'd be at least a couple of years before the next PSP. The redesigned PSP was just released in Japan and doesn't look like there'll be any new console or handheld in the near future.

I don't think Sony will make another handheld. Unless they decide to copy some features on the DS!

The PS3 will last 10+ years but I think the 360 might get a sequel in about 2010-12, I would certainly not expect a new PS console to be bought out for a good 5-7 years.
