My poor little 40gb hard drive is running out of room rapidly, even with backing up stuff to free space, so I'm going to put in a second one. Any recommendations on where the cheapest place in Melbourne is for this sort of thing?

Then I'd have to install the damn thing myself. But I might roll along to the Malvern one next month and have a gander.

I'm sure that 2 minutes of work would be a struggle ;)
But go to a swap meet, i picked up a 160gb seagate drive with 8mb cache for $140, and that was two months ago.
I only got ATA though, but if you can try to get an SATA drive.

Those guys are usually pretty good with their prices. They are in Clayton, and somewhere else, I can't remember.

Alternatively, go to a Swap Meet - that comtrader site has the dates etc.

They're not really that hard to install.. But if you aren't sure how, you're best bet would be to take it to somebody with knowlege of how to install them,

I know, in Adelaide you can get a 160gb for about $150, and I got my 250gb for $300. I assume that it'd be about the same price anywhere
