It'd be interesting to know whether the appointment will be focused more on technology side of things or the content side of things.
I think that the technology side, or specifically our online presence, is abysmal.
The website uses the same cookie cutter as the other teams' websites and hasn't been upgraded in a long time. It is tired and surely in 2012 they can do much better. Collingwood is going out alone with the shirt sponsor - it needs to do likewise with the club website.
I get an email from the club each week with "Buck's message" which I can't view because the club seems totally unaware that the world have invented these things called iPhones and iPads. One or two people seem to have them these days. The only way I can view Buck's message is by going to the thread on Bigfooty. (Or by powering up my PC which I rarely can be bothered to do)
The content side of things is a little better, but there is still enormous room for improvement. The Club (2012) is good and IB&WT (2011) was in my opinion better. I am not really interested what the players' homes look like after the cleaning lady has gone through them with a toothbrush, but I accept that other people probably are.

Trying not to sound like a know all, I can say that the plans we have for the future are just amazing!
To say that we will be the market leader is a massive understatement and an Essendon supporter in Steve Reilly was truly gobsmacked once he was briefed by EM.
