New Mod and Forum Rules

Hey Guys,

I'm Localfootyguru and I've been given the mod duties for this board.

Guidelines
* Obviously it gets a bit hairy when we talk about footy, but lets keep things on topic. People don't want to read slanging matches between two posters.

* General chit chat between posters should be kept to PM or MSN.

* Posting rumors is ok, as long as its football related ie: Player X is moving to St Josephs next year.

But refrain from posting Player Y is shagging player X's wife.

* If there is anything that breaks the forum rules, I'll edit your posts and send you a PM just outlining the reasons.

Feel free to argue your point with me, just don't get personal. It adds nothing to the argument.

* If you feel you are being harassed by certain posters, or have any issues at all, please PM me. If I can't sort them out then I will pass them on to someone who can!

* When you get a chance read this thread: Big Footy Ten Commandments.

* Have fun discussing local footy!

* Any other questions please post here and I will answer them!

Most importantly lets talk all things Yarra Valley footy!!

Localfootyguru out of interest are you the only Mod here now seeing you have posted a set of your own rules?

If so I'd like to congratulate Rusty on the great job he's done here. Usage on this board has been gradually increasing yet I've never noticed most of the above things ever become issues.

Maybe Rusty just nipped them in the bud early or maybe the posters are all sensible and self-moderating. *insert angel smiley*

Whatever the reason this particular board would be one of the most civil and pleasant to participate in out of the myriad of boards on BigFooty.

Special regional mods have some mod powers but not all.

As mentioned Rosy Im only a regional moderator and playing a support role to Rusty Hawk and the boys.

Make sure you keep posting - this Forum is a dream compared to some of the others.
