Yeah it's apparently been compared to No Code/Yield in terms of its 'heavyness'.

What I've heard so far is pretty good, but will wait til end of April for the rest.

go to the pj forum if u want an in depth analysis of the tracks. all i wanted to do was alert some casual listeners that the album is out there if they care to have a listen...

it has 2 great slow tracks - come back and parachutes. parachutes of the around the bend ilk.
wasted reprise is their little experimental track for this album.
marker in the sand and severed hand are next single material. life wasted is another harder rocker with a catchy chorus.
inside job is very good musically... boom delivers on the powerful intro.. just when i wanted him to sod off. 7minutes long and is a suitable closer.
gone with full band is better than the xmas single demo and live versions from the 2005 tour.
army reserve is filler material. but u cant win them all.

FWIW, I really liked Riot Act. However, I'm really looking forward to this one. The reviews have been positive. I think I'm going to wait til it's released.

It may not be high quality, but I'm hanging out for my preordered copy of the album all the more right now.

I thought the demo version of Gone from the Xmas single was great...but the full band version is just incredible.

[This is actually quite a curious collection of rips. World Wide Suicide and Unemployable are clearly from a different source to the other tracks (most likely iTunes), and Comatose, Life Wasted, Parachutes and Severed Hand I am certain are the same versions that came from the leaked promo 6-track (the glitch in Severed Hand at about 3:00 is the giveaway). So where the heck did these other tracks come from, and why did they need to cobble this leak together from multiple sources?]

No worries. April 29 eh? where exactly? I know sanity s releasing on May 1st, but others I dunno?
I've heard the two official releases and crappy quality versions of four songs leaked about 3 weeks ago --> so hearing those songs in CD quality will be amazing.

Woolworths in the UK have started selling digital downloads of the (real, final, properly mastered) tracks waaay ahead of the release date.

go to www.woolworths.co.uk and search for 'pearl jam' from the front page. The tracks are at the bottom of page 1 and also page 2.

(or you could just acquire them "another way", of course...)

Verdict: Awesome. Very awesome. They've tweaked these tracks very nicely from their pre-mastered state.

Jesus, you were quick mate. yeah it's looking pretty solid that they will tour November. KOL website would not say that unless it is going to go ahead.

I've only got Worldwide Suicide, and damn, that blew me away. Brilliant. Can't wait for the album, and can't wait for the tour.

Now, if Offspring and the Chillis tour this year too, it would be GOLD!
