I have been informed by some close sources that Cycling Australia are planning to get a team organised to compete in the 2012 Tour de France. It is a new entity - nothing like Pegasus.
Pegasus can forget looking to Cycling Australia for help.
If you think about it, this does make sense.
Jayco Skins are a young team competing in Australian domestic racing where all the athletes are through the AIS/VIS etc.
That could be the feeder team to this new entity. With Australian cycling's governing body behind this team, that will be more successful than Pegasus.
Keep an eye on this space in the next 12 months.
