Prediction New Year's Resolutions

open to the media & public where appropriate - strong integration of men's and women's teams - strong financial planning - move away from gaming revenue - improvement in all areas of membership dept

For the Team
genuine camaraderie, caring for each other on and off field, maturity from leaders, buy-in from youngsters

For the Game-plan
exciting, risky, defense-built (yeah I know, those two are opposites) fast ball movement, shepherding with extreme prejudice, massive focus on forward-line defense, developing a contingency plan to shut down an opposition run of goals, learning patience, using the ground switch to better effect, end the idea that we can be pushed around by seriously flying the flag when intimidated

For the Players
development, development, development - bulk, muscle, improvement in running patterns and first option


I don't believe in the concept of NYRs but Jan 1 is as good a time as any for a wishlist - adapt as required

My grandfather, a mad Carlton supporter, passed away when I was young. But one thing I remember is whenever I visited him, as I left he always said 'I hope your team wins this week'. I'd always answer 'you too, pops'.

As we head into the new year, I ask for nothing from my football team. But to all you blues fans out there, I hope your team delivers on all your hopes and dreams and more in 2017...

i have very much been the same. the last decade or more has been hard and i struggle with how the game is played and run. the way gws have been built is a disgrace. will nearly be unbeatable for a few years. its not even close to an even playing field. going to games and watching 36 players in a pocket isn't fun either. i'm just hoping carlton keep building and improving and that will bring that love of the game back. still don't enjoy it as much as I used to.
