he's a great kick and could play in the midfield but he's a gutsy player who is a major part of the backline

Backline is mainly used to bring new kids into learning the game until they are mature enough to play midfield.

I voted midfield but I don't mean in the centre square, put him on a wing. He would be a great player to have kicking to Richo and he can also roam down back to rebound for us.

Players like Connors/Casserly/JON should be pushing for that HB role next year and we now have McMahon.

backline for me, we need his type to balance us down back, if we load up on fleet-footed "dashing defenders" we'll suffer a caning from midfields with good delivery. He's not really required to move to the midfield and it shouldn't be every player who isn't a kpp's aim to eventually become a midfielder, he should concentrate on becoming a genuine topline backman imo.

MIDDLE. He'd be one of best midfielders straight away. Would add heaps of class. Why do you think we got Mcmahon? He will take over Newmans spot in defence, while Bowden and King continue as other small defenders
