Strategy Next 4 weeks in the VFL.

Aside from a 2nd bye, the VFL boys will play in 3 very important clashes.

This Sunday it is Sandringham at Sandringham, which is the Sunday Channel 7 game for those who don't want to get a chill standing at the ground! Sandy sit a game clear of us currently so it will be a significant challenge.

The following Saturday, we head to Werribee. Matches down by the Werribee River have over the years been good for Essendon and as they are percentage behind us currently, a win is a must.

The week after the bye, on election day, we host Port Melbourne at Windy hill. The Borough's recent record against us is very good, but, most of those matches have been amongst the wharfies at North Port. Again we are clear of them by percentage currently.

If the team is to play finals, this month of footy coming up needs to have some success in it to frank the form from last year.

We're stretched a bit thin for bodies for me to consider us a threat this year. Now with Hams playing seniors, Crowley and Simpkin popping strings and Jamar or Michael or both being held over as an emergency that strong senior contingent is pretty much gone.

Forward line ain't the same sans Hardingham either. We don't look anywhere near as dangerous when going forward this year; Hardy was a constant threat last year.
