I hope that we dont get rid of any of our youngsters at the end of the year (Especially Hansen!) I reckonwe have a sensational young list and will be in the running for the flag for the next 5 seasons. Just have to take any opportunities we get. We dont really have any players on the veterans list (maybe Banfield or Chick) and other than that the guys can be together for the next 5 years like Brisbane at their peak. we will almost certainly not trade for big names and probably not for anything. I have said this before and i will say it again. Woosha doesn't liek to trade, he has faith ( perhaps too much ) in his own players and thinks we've got a premiership winning list. in many ways i agree with him, i mean we're top of the ladder aren't we?!?

Lynch is doing pretty well but who wouldn't with that kind of delivery. he has put in a few good performances, and perhaps when Gardiner comes back we will have a good two pronged attack. With Gardiner leading and Lynch standing in the square. It could work but I like McDougs, people who say we shoudl trade him are deluded, I believe he can come back and play well however Woosha may have missed his opportunity to introduce him to the team ( against port would have been ideal ).

But I do not believe we will trade for a FF, Woosha will presist with either Lynch or Doogs at FF and we have enough goal kickers to do without a super dominant one.

We have options at FF. Lynch is going OK. Smith will be right for next season. And McDougall is still half a chance if he pulls his finger out. We also have Gardiner as an option in a FP.

We don't have nearly as many options in defence. That's why, if we trade at all this season, another key defender should be our priority. Hunter has been great at CHB, but our team would be considerably better if we had a genuine tall (+193cm) at CHB. This would release Hunter to play as a rebounding 3rd tall. We would be a much better side with this structure in place.

This genuine tall at CHB should have been Gaspar, but he hasn't played enough football. Long-term, it could still be Staker, but he hasn't shown much as a KPP yet. Graham Polak would fit the bill.

Don't worry about poaching a big-name FF. We would get r*ped on that trade. If we're going to trade beyond delisting the mandatory 3 players and turning over some dead wood, we should target another key defender. That would be a much smarter move than going after Fevola or Tarrant or whichever glamour forward you have in mind.
