im a pies fan but take an interest in some players from other teams
will luke ablett and sean dempster get more of an oppurtunity next season??
i thought ablett did a good job in the prelim
the word was he was unlucky not to get more game time leading into the finals??
cheers

it seems anyone with that surname is destined to be an absolute superstar. the swannies will hang on to him with everything they can. a couple of gaps will open up next year and he'll get lots mor of an opportunity.

Ablett was given a few games early in the season, and frankly was far from impressive, I had my doubts he would be on the list in 2004 - got another chance when some injuries took their toll just before the finals, and showed quite a bit of promise - was probably among our best in the prelim. Doesn't get much of the ball, but seems to go in and make a contest - expect to see some more of him in 2004

I haven't seen Dempster play - tho he's supposed to be a good prospect - we might see him debut next year

I think we will see a lot more of Ablett next season. I think he could lose a little weight. Looks like a good prospect.

I like the look of Dempster. Played full back most of the year, looks like a very versitile player. Will see him next year, not entirely sure if it will be at full back though.

Adam Goodes played his first year in Ressies at Full Back. Dempster may be a similar case.

I think Ablett may have suffered a bit from the "God" complex that came with the name. He seems to have settled really well into the side now and come to understand exacttly what he is capable of. He may be another "victim" of the way Roosy coaches, and as such may develop at the same rapid pace that Hall, Barry, Kennelly, Bolton (both), Kirk et al. have this year once given the chance.

Noggy will be a great player I think, since he is only 20/21 he needs time to develop.
