Got a shock earlier while watching NBC news when I learned Vikings tackle Korey Stringer died this morning from complications of heat stroke. He collapsed Tuesday after training in 110 degree heat and never regained consciousness, and his heart failed Wednesday US time. Being a Vikings fan myself this is a big loss, RIP Big K #77.

PS. Apoligies for posting this on the Basketball site, but I figure the majority of NFL fans will be here anyway.

And if the death of Korey Stringer wasn't tragic enough, a player with NorthWestern University has died in similar circumstances. Very sad stories.
