Nick Gill is now playing for the North Adelaide Roosters in the SANFL and after watching him play for the Roosters the other night I was wondering what those of you who saw him play for Port Melbourne last year thought.

I thought he showed some real potential but appeared to take a while to warm into the game

Was a fringe player for a lot of the season, who found himself spending a lot of time on the bench, when forwards from North were playing at the Borough early. Sav in the first few rounds, and the club persisted with Kris Shore for a while.

Not his best season last year, but continued to present well. He is a high-leaping marker who occasionally is was a relief ruckman in the forward half during 2003 due to his jmup. He played most of the last half in the seniors but didn't hold enough grabs. Also might have had a lower return because of his slightly different kicking style.

Hope he has a good season at NA. You will find his second efforts when the ball is at ground level are terrific.
