Credit to him for letting everyone in.

Totally understand that in sharing that pain, he is hoping to ease someone elses.

Admirable, and selfless.

Don't want to talk footy in this one.

Just expressing admiration in how the Riewoldt family have conducted themselves.

Your post will be my favourite post of the year, come what may.

STKFC for me is family. That is how it was when I grew up in St. Kilda before it became gentrified and trendy. That was how it was under the windsock at Moorabbin.

Win, lose or draw today, anyone who showed up and wore purple is part of the family.

St. Nick has given us so much, so much.

"Fight like Maddie."

This will become one of my life mantras in honour of the Riewoldt family.

We may have only won one flag but we, as a club, have been graced with the services of many great men and women and families.

Thanks for your post mysainters, C

Nick and Jacks pregame dedication to Maddsie was gut wrenching to watch and I shared their pain in my thoughts. To lose your little sister to a disease you can't do anything to help. My respect for the pair of them just grew exponentially.

Nick has been absolutely fantastic the way he has handled himself through this whole tragedy, and has proven himself (once again, and not that he needed to) to be a great person all round. Extremely proud that he captains our great club.

We should also take our hats off to Jack, who this year seems to have matured immensely and has really won over my respect, both through the way he has played this year and the way he has spoken about everything. :thumbsu:

The Riewoldts really are a class act.

Was getting the crowd riled up down the coventry end when Paddy kicked his goal from memory.

Didn't see the game, but that's awesome of him if true. He'd know the pressure of being taken early in the draft, so good on him to help out a youngster like that.

I totally agree, this young man Nick and his family, with Jack as well, magnificent performance and celebration of Maddies life.
We were all on your sides for that match. Take care lads. Nick and Jack both champions.
