adam mcphee being called smokey cos he started a bushfire on a preseason camp by burning his toilet paper is a bit of a favourite of mine...can't really think of too many off the top of my head

these two positions are the pivotal spots on the field
anyway langer's nickname was deborah kerr............

the king......passes to deborah kerr.......to lady susan or lazy susan [as that was centre steve renouf's nickname] etc
