Footy is in the entertainment business, just like the movies, if I see a dud film, the experience is no less tarnished coz the teenage chick put an extra knob of butter on my popcorn ...similarly it gives me No pleasure in losing a game with the prospect of a cushy draft choice...I wanna win

it is some consolation knowing that we are close to getting the #1 kid in the country but that thought never comes into my head when im at the game.
i would much rather the joy that a win can bring rather than feeling like i did last night just for a higher draft pick.

They need to change the draft system to include a lottery for all those outside the eight at the end of season. That way there will be no reward for tanking and we wouldn't have to watch games and wonder.

I quite enjoy losing actually. It's fun.

I hate losing too, friends are sick of "we will better next year" comment. I've been saying this for the last 20 years. I'm willing to go through some short pain for some long time gain. I want to feel what winning a premiership feels like. I unlike many others have faith in Terry. He has come with a plan, has drafted accordingly and I believe that we will see a lot of improvement next year and be a genuine flag chance from 2009 onwards. I hate losing but if we can get 3 more quality youngsters in our team from the draft and a potential star. I will be happy to finish bottom. The season is over, nothing can be gained except confidence. Play the kids this year, remain competitive while the kids get experience, pick up the best kid in the draft and get ready to mount a serious challenge in 2008.

I understand the rationale for that but there will still be a motive to 'tank'. If there is no motivation at all to tank for a position outside the eight then there is no reason why all teams wouldn't keep 'trying' up to seasons end.
