I would like to congratulate Norff on the stunning crowd of just over 8000 at Manuka. Are these the same relatives they took to the Sydney game against Port last year?

THE FUTURE"S SO BRIGHT THEY GOTTA WEAR SHADES (not)

Here, Here. Let me also offer the congrats

Firstly I'd like to congratulate the 7291 who braved the Carlton Adelaide game.

A special mention to the 7875 who were bored stupid by the Melbourne Richmond game.

And commiserations to the 5800 who had to endure the Bulldogs Lions game.

And finally ackowledgement of the 90 brave supporters who turned up to West Coast Pies clash. Apparently the AFL included 16000 Neanderthals in the crowd tally in the official crowd figure of 16090.

Essendon would also bring in more supporters than StKilda did last week.

Daffy Duckie I would have thought that as Canberra is now your second home more than just family would have turned up to your last game? Poor Poor Norff.

Wanky, such a big extended family to, even bigger than

Carlton & Adelaide - 7291 in Melbourne, on a Saturday afternoon, perfect weather.

Melbourne & Richmond - 7875 in Melbourne on a Sunday, perfect weather.

Brisbane and Dogs - 5800 very pitiful even for a cyclone.

Okay Wanky lets take a look at the crowds this week.

Essendon v Sydney 12358
Brisbane v Carlton 22957
Hawthorn v Melbourne 9813
Richmond v Frematle 4391
Adelaide v Dogs 20169
Stkilda vs West Coast 8642

Now how many turned up to see the Roos play 28983.

yo tug-it-hard oops I mean choppyhard don't you know how it works? check the Carlton figures again! Add the BCGT members and the Qld Cricketers Club Members, then add the Corporate members. Nearly 30,000 all up.

Pretty scary Carlton playing in Brisbane can get more people there than the Pies and Nuffy Norf in Melbourne.

But then who would want to go and watch a team that can't even pay it's rookies?

Closer than what? Where is North these days? there not in Arden Street! It's pretty obvious they're not interested in Melbourne.
Footy in Canberra is up the shit anyway. I spent the worst ten years of my life in Canberra in 1998. A lot of that crowd, but still a minority, would have come up from the Monaro and Riverina, where Sydney support is relatively strong.
The problem for North was the limited support for footy in Canberra (and the western suburbs of Sydney), people could go and see Essendon and Sydney the following week.
the bulk of the supporters probably didn't follow either team if my experience of Canberra AFL crowds is any judge. They just wanted to go and see the footy. Canberra crowds are bloody boring too!
We got warned by the cops at Manuka in 1999 for calling out ball! as it was disturbing other patrons.
True!
There is more football culture in Sydney than in Canberra, which is saying something!

Your only response to the facts is to resort to childish name calling. Remember you started the topic wanky.

If Essendon and Sydney are so popular how come only 12000 turned up and 4000 to a Richmond game in Melbourne.

Your original topic was a smartarse attempt but poor attempt at humour and when put back under the rock from where you came you can offer no intelligent response.

Yes an extra 3000 went to see Sydney and Essendon play.

Brisbane one team per state and only 28,000 turned up. A pretty poor attendance, given the population of QLD. What is the capacity of the Gabba, 40,000. When will the AFL start to get all the money back that they have pumped in to the Bears/Lions over the years. Only time will tell i guess.

Childish name calling? wanky?? oh that hurt!

The Ground can't fit anymore idiot and that should make it a perfect home ground for norff. Maybe a bit too big at 13,000 limit but norff havn.t picked up any bandwagon supporters since CIK stopped following Fitzroy.
