That Adelaide had some big names out etc etc. But the facts are very simple. Essendon beat one of the 15 teams trying to earn the right to lose to them in the Grand Final.:thumbsu: :thumbsu:

Without getting too carries away it was a bloody good win by the dons. I was especially inpressed with the pressure they were putting on the Adelaide defence as they tried to run it out of defence.

A few of the Aboriginal lads were Awesome at wrapping them up - a few times alone Mattner had no where to go and just fell over and GONE!

But yeah, remember what happened last year after round 1 win Vs Sydney so dont get too carried away ;)

But it is a better win than last year, for the fact we won on the road, which in the last few years we haven't been able to do. Previously, interstate teams marked games against us as a certain win, as soon as the fixture comes out. Now the team has a belief they can win on the road, as long as they play four quarters, like they did today.

I went to the game today with my sis (dons fan) and I we are driving to Melbourne for Queens Birthday weekend when Dons play WCE at the Dome and i was telling her how I am not looking forward to playing you guys now with all these new speedy blokes and some decent big men back, gonna be a ripper that game!!! :thumbsu:
