NT team in the WAFL 2008?

NT team set to join the WAFL next season!

What do you guys think, Is this a massive step fot NT, is it a long time comming? or is it not worth it?? Interested to know as a Victorian who takes a huge interest in State Competitions.

Should be good. Luckily it is the WAFL because if it was the SANFL they wouldn't last. Unless they recruit heaps then they will be the whipping boys of the WAFL.

Read another aarticle printed today, can't find the link right now that says 2008 is out of the question, but 2009 is looking more than likely.

The figure needed for them to be sustainable os about $2Million per year, and the WAFL would them commiting to minimum of 5 years, so that would be $10million, alot of money, but would it be worth it?

That is awesome news... I played my junior footy in Darwin and have been telling people for years that there was awesome players up there that would not come south to play.
