NTFL Umpire standards - Below par?

Last season i had a bit of a scuffle with Corey Kurnoth of the Buffs in a night game and i remember him saying to me something along the lines of " I've been playing up here for years, you have no idea of how bad the umpiring is" I guess i just payed the comment of.
Now this season i find myself in total agreeance with Corey, the umpiring up here is disgusting.
The umpires have got to learn that the game is not about them, make your decisions and shut up, do not keep making smart ass comments to players whilst on the mark bringing them to the point that they start firing up and hence give away 50 m penaltys. Your general decision making during the game is pathetic.
Players performance is constantly scrutinised by there coach etc if we play bad we get dropped, umpires just seem to continue on making poor decisions week after week but still seem to umpire a grade.
Pull your ****ING heads in and realise the game is bigger than you.

If AFL standard umpires were officiating the game supporters and officials of some clubs would still be complaining. Sure umpires make mistakes but what about the players dropping marks, missing targets all day.

I can assure you that the umpires performances are under more scrutiny than half the players currently running around in the league.

Some of the players in the bottom sides would be lucky to have got a game in B grade years ago and to call themselves league footballers is a joke.

The only reason most are getting a game is that there is nobody else going to training to replace them.

As for Corey do you think he has ever said a good word about an umpire in his life.

The funny thing about the NTFL umpires is that they are so bad that someone had to start a page dedicated to them on Bebo lol.
