NOW THAT'S A TOUGH FILLY. WOW.

Did a lot of work yet still never looked like getting beat.

Surely a Melbourne Cup horse in the making, makes her own luck and just doesn't die, no matter what the distance is.

The best horse won.:thumbsu:

I agree with you gutsy win

any idea what the tri paid?
$482..

Absolutely Awesome for me in the next. I think it was a little unlucky last start and didn't really suit the Valley. Probably my second best of the day behind Curtana so hopefully it can have a win.

Will take it stand alone in a trifecta with most of the field behind it.

I had Kittens, Shamrocker and Placement.

Not on tv here. How did the race finish?

Kittens was on pace for the whole race, led, then went back to third fought on well, BP took the lead coming into the straight, SR and Placement closed without ever really threatening.

Best filly in the race won. Very good ride, Sasa had to make the move forward, it left BP to cart them up, she did some wrong in the straight but still held them off. Nice, if only workmanlike and not brilliant, win.

...but still, it was just the Oaks. Happy to be wrong about it, but wasn't excited pre-race for them and nothing made me change my mind. I won't be getting too excited about her to come back this time next year and be competitive in a high grade Cup. But at least she's in the right camp, gotta <3 Moroney stayers and she looks as though there's improvement, physical and mental, to come..

A much deserved and popular win :)

eh heartsareforlove couldnt stay the distance. top run by pulse.

shamrocker was my third pick didnt take the quinella/exacta. didnt notice the place paying $7.00 either! got the tri and nice win bet on brazilian pulse.

next race like zubbaya might give a pass, have 2,3,4,6,7 in my quaddie

Best run of the race was Sasa. Corey Brown rode it like an absolute **** and it still ran a gallant 5th.
While Brown didn't ride it that well, it wasn't entirely his fault. You would think, even from barrier 11 in a smallish field you could get a spot one of the rails, but he knew the horse had to be better then midfield, and there were no spots there.

Then he tried to put the horse outside the leader but it took off (footage CH 7 didn't show us:thumbsd:) and then once in front she simply didn't settle.

Huge run from Sasa though, will be an autumn special up to 2000m, but not past that distance IMO.
