Good 2 hour+ session.

Overall skills good. Lots of long and mid range kicking drills.

McLean worked harder than anybody. Super fit.

Henderson and Sauce were the only 2 big guys who worked as hard as the midfielders(others did modified amounts). Sauce fitness was impressive. Henderson is a real workhorse. Looks like he loves it.

Yarran. No queries on this guy. His fitnessis up with the other mids and skills sublime.

Lucas fits in like he's been out there for years. Really reminded me of Camporeale. Will play mostly seniors this year. No probs with his kicking either. Natural ,modern, midfielder.

Kruezer is a BEAST. Leader.

Cheers TW, how did Davies look?

Kruezer didn't do a lot. Did a bit of running , as did most of the big guys but not many of the drills. He mainly patrolled the boundary. Looked more confident than i remember him. Not so sheepish as Baby Kruezer. I think Man Kruezer has arrived. AFL beware.

Davies didn't do much at all. Lucas did everything and with McLean probably did as much work as anybody. Just looks ready. Not out of his depth.

Kerr was interesting. Did some drills and some individual stuff. Looks like a natural talent and a real confident kid. Like he's been the leader of his Narre Warren patch since he's been 10. This is the guy who could be a Paul Chapman, Molly Meldrum draft steal.....or not. Know what i mean?.

Outstanding :D

How do you think his ruckwork will go up against some of the more seasoned and bigger bodied ruckmen?

Anything on Waite?

Warnock did much the same as Kruze and Hampson . Just modified stuff. Mainly running and a few drills. At one stage he was on the scooter. I assume to strengthen his achilles. Was it his left achilles that troubled him last year?

Thornton and Austin and Waite also didn't do most of the drills. Just modified stuff.

Hendo and Sauce and Irish did all the work for the Big Guy Team today.

great report TW

Good to hear about brock flying, he seems a man on a mission to prove he can really play, same with hendo.

Like what I am hearing aboutt Yazz as well

Hope macca doesn't wear himself out! I hope Gibbs and Murphy are working themselves hard to reach the next level, never seem to hear much about them in reports. Looks like we are being cautious with the big heavy blokes. Perhaps we are sick of stress fractures and injuries like that at Carlton. If Kreuzer hasn't built his endurance then maybe some folk will get their wish and see him up forward.

Well done TW, these training reports are the best thing on BF at this time of the year. Much appreciated.

Cheers for the report Tee-Dubb.

BTW, Kerr is a Parkdale lad:

Also keen to hear how Jamo is recovering from his shoulder surgery. A fit Waite and Jamo will make a huge difference.

Like another poster said, we can count on Yarran being a new recruit for '10. If you were told we would add Yarran, Hendo, Mclean and Lucas to our list from last year and hopefully finally see 206 contribute, with only Fev gone you would have to be happy with that. And who knows we still have ROK, Davies and Kerr as unknowns perhaps even Tiller. Exciting times.

Lets hope training form turns into matchday form during next year. Great news.

AFL CLUBS ADD AMMO STARS
WHAT THE CLUB SAID: After starting with the Parkdale Vultures in 2006 as a boundary umpire for the reserves while watching brother Aaron play (actually played in a couple of games himself ), Rohan again played in the Reserves in 2007 (finishing 4th in the Best and Fairest) whilst also playing Under 16 football on Sundays for Edi-Asp, winning their Best & Fairest.

2008 saw Rohan progress to the Parkdale Vultures Senior side, where, still as a 16 year old, he played nearly every game. His ball winning ability and consistent play saw him finish Eq. 4th in the club Best & Fairest with Steven Sullivan.

In 2009, Rohan was picked up by the Dandenong Stingrays to play in the Elite Under 18 TAC Cup and after overcoming an initial injury, he came home strong as the season prgoressed and notched up 11 games. Added to that was his great game in the TAC Grand Final, which attracted quite a bit of interest from the AFL clubs, ulimately culminating in his invite to the VIC State Screening.

Rohan also added to his Parkdale Vultures tally this year with 5 Senior and 1 Under 19 games, which brings his totals so far to 39 Games (23 Senior, 13 Reserve, 3 U19's) 18 Goals (12 Senior, 4 Reserve, 2 U19's).

Poor old Nick Stevens gets quickly forgotten.

Shame on you 30YB. Does the name Stevens mean anything to you? :D

Yep quite right, I had forgotton him and yes he will be missed. Point is still valid though, regular silk from Yazz, grunt work from Mclean, Ruck work from 206, Henderson getting forward respect, Lucas showing why he was rated, and some of the up and comers starting to shine through.....I see improvement in that list.

I was there this morning too and I agree on most of your points except Yarran's skills being sublime today? Most definately wrong. He did two of the worst kicks of the day and missed an easy running goal. I really like Yarran and have never maligned him, but he was NOT impressive today in the skills department. He did seem to keep up though, wasn't apart of the main midfield drill however.

McLean killed it and was one of the best kicks I saw today along with Lucas. Ultra competitive and should have a big season next year.

Lucas impressed me. He did very well in the congested drill they held; works well in traffic. As I said his kicking was great, well timed and on target. He spoiled quite a bit for someone of his size.

Kreuzer was the standout today. Loved his work ethic; put Austin to shame in the running. He tried very hard and put in all he had, unlike Austin who annoyingly was going very laid back. He has bulked up even more and is looking very fit. Players like Kreuzer and McLean will scare opponents from the ball; determined and muscular men. Kreuzer was also goal kicking and kicking to Teague in the goal square which I believe is a clear indication that he will be playing in the forward line. I'm in upmost admiration of Kreuzer today, even though he was in the rehab group he made his session as tough as the fit and full-training players.

Apparently we don't have any kids training with us at Visy. What happened to Kite?

I really thought he would be a great pick-up for us.
Yeah I didn't see Kite, and he's not listed to be training with us on the AFL website's 'to train list'.

We did have someone that I couldn't pick out though. He was dark skinned and I thought it was Labi for a while before I saw them standing next to each other. He was shorter than Labi and was too short haired. He did barely nothing, just some handballs with Bradley. Anyone know who it could be?

Cousin/Brother of Betts?

Bilney.

Kreuzer will be the bigger bodied ruckman. He is no kid anymore; he is a machine with muscles. He dominated ruck contests against Warnock early in the training, however it must be said Warnock does look to be suffering from some slight injury.

Waite was there earlier in the training too before going inside I presume. His baggy shorts stood out.
