Hello dear friends in Sweet,
This week, as indicated by the obscure references in the thread title, our beloved TRUMAN#1 plays his 250th game!
In a career that has taken him across four clubs (Wonders, Bears, OOBs, and Furies), Bono has been instrumental in ensuring that rucks are given the prominence their egos demand in our great competition (To be fair to him, he is probably responsible for more avatar bets than anyone else, and he is yet to back out of one when he's lost).
He is a dual premiership player with the OOBs (Seasons 35 & 37, with a wooden spoon in between due to some administrative errors accruing substantial penalties).
He is a three-time All SFA representative, each blazer coming as a result of his dominance of the centre bounce (Seasons 25 & 27 with the Wonders, Season 39 with the Furies, his first blazer earnt in his rookie season).
He is the Wonders' Season 27 Best & Fairest winner.
He is the Furies' Season 33 Tarks Goldenboot Medallist, proving that he can perform to a high level in multiple positions.
And in one of the all-time great Grand Final performances, he is the Season 39 Deestroy Medallist, and while he lets everyone know all about it, he is also gracious enough not to mention that none of his teammates showed up on the day.
All of this pales in comparison to his greatest achievement, which as you will all testify to, is his single-handed responsibility for keeping the tinfoil and red string industries afloat due to his weather-based conspiracy theories.
Dear friends, please join me in applauding one of the true gentlemen of the league; I am very proud that Bono gets to run out in the Lime & Magenta for this momentous occasion!
