Odd problem

I hope i explain this right so here goes... Yesterday i used the computer for the first time since 21st of December. When i open internet explorer and get the bigpond homepage it says on the bottom tool bar about 'applet starting' and it loads about a 1/3 of the way then stops.I leave it for a few minutes and it still doesn't load. I'm not sure what this means but when i go into a few of the pages with message boards that i look at it only shows me the posts made up to December 21(like i'm working offline). Any posts after that date don't appear but replies to posts i can see that were made after dec 21 do appear when i open the post. Plus on some pages(this one included) the homepage appears as it did on dec 21st but the message boards are showing all the newer posts. NBA.com is giving me scores from the 20th of dec and team stats after 8 games(for some teams) and baggygreen has still got links to scores and news from before christmas. What the hell is happening?

are you getting any error messages? i have had runtime errors on bigpond linked pages, they are not my internet provider

Sounds like a caching problem....
Clear out you internet cache, and then visit some sites.
If the problem persists, you might want to look at your connection settings.

As long as i referesh the pages when i get into them it's ok. I was wrong about the message i was getting down the the bottom though, it's telling me i have 1 item remaining and it wont load, minor hassle but easy to ignore.
