Dunno about you guys, but if my mouse wasn't working one of the first things I'd do is look at the bottom of it.

You'd think so wouldn't you, but nope, he had two other people in the office looking at it, neither of them looked under the mouse and he pulled cables apart and put them back in and rang our helpdesk as well who (obviously) didn't have a problem when they remote logged in.

This is not an outrageous prank, but would be interesting if you have the patience. Hope I can explain it adequately.

A guy I used to work with once told me that in an office job he once had, which he found vaguely stimulating, he decided one day that he would start moving his desk out on an angle, one centimetre each day, just to find out how many days he could shuffle it on an odd angle before any of his colleagues noticed. I seem to recall he moved it to somewhere between 30 to 45 degrees from its original position before somebody asked him whether his desk had always been on that particular angle.

Put a Kangaroo Island bumper sticker on a friend's car once. Pretty maxtreme...

Gay pride or Aboriginal pride (if the driver's paley white) stickers would be more amusing.

But yeah people don't usually drive their cars inside the office so this isn't much help...
