The Adelaide Football Club announced this morning that Neil Craig with continue as senior coach until 2007. The Club has revealed that the 3 year deal was struck last week once it became apparent that other AFL Clubs had snapped up the services of the only 2 coaches available with senior experience.
The Club has also extended the contracts of assistants Mark Mickan, Darren Jarman, while Peter Curren will return to Melbourne at the completion of the season. In a major coup, the Club has also convinced former champion forward Wayne Carey to remain at the club in a specialised role until the end of 2005. At an early morning press conference Carey expressed delight at continuing his association with the Adelaide Football Club saying, "I've enjoyed my 2 years here and it should be ****ing hysterical to watch these amateurs try and re establish the Crows as a force in the AFL. By my calculations I'll only need to wait 12 months before I'm in charge, and then we'll see some real results".
